Cornelius & Peter: Are you welcome here?

Pastor Evan shares the story from Acts 10 where Peter and Cornelius each received a dream from God about a message of inclusion. The divide between the Jews and Gentiles was so great. There were prejudices on both sides that meant they did not intermingle. They were being asked to include Gentiles in the kingdom without becoming Jews first. As a result of Peter baptizing Gentiles there were long reaching cultural implications. It’s a story of transformation between two groups of people. It wasn’t determine that everything was “in” the community. It was determine those who were seeking God, as Cornelius was, were welcomed in to keep seeking him. God invites us as we are.
