Story of David: Saul, David & Jonathan

Pastor Evan continues in our new sermon series, "The Story of David." For five weeks we'll bring these stories to life and discover how David was a crucially human example of how we relate to God. Pastor Evan shares on the story from 1 Samuel 18-20. Jonathan and David’s relationship grew among the two most unlikely friends. Jonathan was Saul’s son and the future king. This must have been a profoundly important relationship among friends. Sometimes we underestimate the deep spiritual aspects of our friendships. We underestimate the courage and resilience we have when we are supported by good friends. David remains faithful to God, and faithful to himself. Yet, he stays strong. David had help. It was God’s help and it looked like a soul friend.
